New contract will deliver Global Tote’s latest BetLine Series wagering terminals to “Chicago’s Hometown Track” and Illinois’ Largest Network of Off-track Betting Bars
BetMakers Technology Group (“BetMakers”) is pleased to announce that its Global Tote division has entered into a new renewal and extension agreement with long-term client Hawthorne Race Course for the provision of pari-mutuel wagering technologies and services at Hawthorne Race Course and at its off-track betting bars, the largest network serving Illinois horseplayers.
The new agreement extends the Hawthorne Race Course and Global Tote partnership for a further five years. The new agreement also calls for the deployment of Global Tote’s latest technologies for wagering including the BetLine Series of wagering terminals and OneWatch™ terminal monitoring solution.
“The Chicago area is a big market for horse racing and the player experience, particularly at the track and in OTBs, is essential to serving loyal customers and attracting new fans. These are the places where everyone comes together to enjoy our sport, and Global Tote’s betting terminals make that experience better,” said John Walsh, Hawthorne Race Course General Manager.
Global Tote’s BetLine Series of terminals for self-service and teller-assisted wagering offer a sleek yet robust terminal, with the full complement of betting and funding components, along with a unique and intuitive user interface. Where permitted, BetLine terminals are capable of offering a range of betting products including pari-mutuel and fixed odds wagering on racing as well as wagering on sports.
OneWatch™, Global Tote’s new terminal monitoring solution, allows terminal service teams to proactively monitor terminal performance, address potential issues before they can impact service, and generate meaningful analytics for future planning.
Hawthorne Race Course will continue to utilise Global Tote’s Quantum™ Tote Engine for central pari-mutuel wagering services, hosted and expertly operated from Global Tote’s professional Global Operations Centre.
Raj Sanjanwala, Chief Operating Officer of Global Tote, stated, “Global Tote is delighted to continue our long and productive partnership with Hawthorne Race Course, the longest running gaming company in Illinois history and a fourth generation family-owned business. Bettors in Illinois demand a seamless wagering experience and we are confident that Hawthorne’s players will appreciate the overall enhanced wagering experience of the BetLine terminals and the optimised uptime and performance of the new BetLine terminals when supported by the new OneWatch™ monitoring solution.”
